Includes High-Impact Clinical Trials, Trials-in-Progress, and New Technology
Submission opens in December 18, 2025
You are invited to submit abstracts of clinical trials, including trials-in-progress, to be considered for presentation during a dedicated session at the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery meeting in Tampa, Florida, May 9 - 12, 2026.
The Clinical Trials and Trials-in Progress session will highlight important colorectal clinical trials with an emphasis on research that will directly impact surgical science and practice. This call is limited to prospective clinical trials that are either ready to start enrolling (approved by regulatory), currently enrolling or have completed enrollment but not published in a peer-review journal.
The New Technology abstract session highlights the development, integration, evaluation, and dissemination of new technology in the practice of colon and rectal surgery. Projects previously presented during the sponsored New Technology Symposium or projects on behalf of industry partners should contact Lauren Sunderland (lsunderland@fascrs.org) to determine which submission option is the best for your project.
Both original research and research presented at other meetings within the past six months may be submitted. Work that is currently under review or accepted for publication may be submitted. Peer-reviewed published research is not eligible for submission. Abstracts accepted for podium presentation will not require manuscript submission to Diseases of the Colon and Rectum. These abstracts will not be published in the online issue of the Journal.
Submissions for these sessions will be accepted beginning December 18, 2025 with a deadline of January 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM Central. Notification of acceptance will be sent in February 2026.
