Introduction

Surgery is the main curative treatment for colon and rectal cancer, particularly for patients with locally advanced or metastatic disease, with a focus on complete resection of the tumor and involved organs or lymph nodes. This session will discuss the latest evidence on managing locally advanced colon cancer, rectal cancer with lateral pelvic lymph node metastasis, and patients with peritoneal metastasis.
