Over the past several decades, healthcare has evolved into a robust and complex system for both providers and their patients. This symposium explores the labyrinth of healthcare that must be navigated to deliver high quality, compassionate, and holistic care to patients. While diagnosis and treatment remain the ultimate goals of care, other factors surrounding care such as the cost of care, insurance coverage, job protection, and financial well-being strongly impact the patient's experience. Recognition of disparities in the delivery of care, cultural and religious beliefs held by each patient, as well as socioeconomic stressors allows for tailored, patient-driven guidance through the course of care. Attendees of this symposium will understand that all of these factors must be identified and addressed to allow for successful guidance of patients through the maze of their care.Learning Objectives:
