CME: .5 hours

This interactive case-based panel will explore advanced strategies for managing nodal and metastatic colorectal cancer. Expert faculty will discuss real-world cases highlighting extended lymphadenectomy, lateral pelvic node dissection, and the role of cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC. Attendees will gain practical insights into patient selection, surgical planning, and multidisciplinary treatment to optimize outcomes in complex scenarios.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Apply anatomical, oncological, and technical principles from CME, D2, D3 dissection, and LPLND to multidisciplinary case discussions involving complex colorectal cancer presentations.
  • Assess and debate surgical strategies for advanced CRC cases, including lateral pelvic node involvement and peritoneal metastases, considering patient-specific factors and evolving evidence and be prepared to apply in clinical practice.
  • Interpret and integrate radiological, pathological, and intraoperative findings to inform multidisciplinary treatment, surgical planning and decision-making.
