The appropriate endoscopic management of premalignant polyps is of critical importance to the practicing colorectal surgeon. Recently, there have been advances in technique and technology to treat these lesions successfully.

This symjposium will focus on 4 such aspects: 1) the endoscopic appearance of these polyps hand how it can predict the risk of underlying malignancy; 2) the role of artificial intelligence to identify these lesions more reliably; 3) newer techniques to remove these lesions in more challenging locations; 4) explore the options to learning newer endoscopic techniques.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Recognize how polyp appearance predicts final histology.
  • Review the role of AI in polyp detection.
  • Demonstrate techniques to remove diminutive polyps located in challenging sites.
  • Review current training options for the next generation of CRS endoscopists.
