Management of diverticulitis is a wide-ranging topic. In this debate, we focus on a crucial question that arises after a patient recovers from acute complicated diverticulitis. We start with the premise that "All patients that complete percutaneous drainage of large diverticulitis abscesses should undergo colectomy."
