MAJ Salvatore Parascandola, MD, FACS, is Chief of Colorectal Surgery and Endoscopy at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his colorectal surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after general surgery residency at the National Capital Consortium. Dr. Parascandola is board-certified in both general and colorectal surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. His clinical and research interests include minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and national presentations. He recently deployed as a general surgeon with the 124th Forward Resuscitation Surgical Detachment.
