Dr. Richard Fortunato, FACS, FASCRS, is the Program Director of the Allegheny Health Network Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship, and the Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency. He's is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Drexel University College of Medicine, and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Fortunato attended the College of William and Mary for undergraduate studies and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical degree. He completed a pediatric molecular oncology research fellowship at the National Instituted of Health, and his general surgery residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Fortunato completed his colorectal surgery fellowship at the Louisiana State University Shreveport Medical Center and has been board certified in colorestal surgey since 2010.
