Dr. Angela Kuhnen, MD, MPH, FACS, FASCRS is a staff surgeon in the Department of Colon & Rectal Surgery at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her medical degree from New York University. She then completed her general surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital followed by her colorectal surgery fellowship at the Lahey Clinic. She received a Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. She has an interest in the full spectrum of benign and malignant colorectal disease. Dr. Kuhnen is the Program Director for the Lahey Colorectal Surgery Fellowship and the Surgical Director of the Lahey Clinic Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center. Dr. Kuhnen serves as co-chair of the Program Committee for the ASCRS 2025 meeting, serves on the Self-Assessment Committee and the Quality and Safety Committee, and is an Associate Examiner for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
