Alexis Peters, MD, is a general surgery resident at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles General Medical Center and currently serves as a colorectal research resident at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Originally from Jefferson City, MO, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology from Missouri State University before completing her medical degree at the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2022. Dr. Peters’s clinical interests include colorectal cancer, IBD, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and pelvic floor disorders. She plans to pursue a fellowship in colorectal surgery following completion of her general surgery training.
