Shahenda Khedr, BA, MPH Candidate at Brown University, Research Coordinator, Department of Surgery, NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. Shahenda Khedr is an aspiring physician with extensive research experience on health disparities, health equity, and global health. She currently serves as a Research Coordinator at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where she manages multi-institutional clinical studies, oversees IRB protocols, and leads both quantitative and qualitative research initiatives.

Shahenda is pursuing her Master of Public Health at Brown University, with a concentration in Global Health, where her work emphasizes community-engaged research and health systems strengthening. She has contributed to over 40 conference abstracts and numerous peer-reviewed manuscripts, with research spanning surgical disparities, colorectal cancer care, and patient-centered outcomes
Deeply committed to advancing equitable surgical care worldwide, Shahenda aims to pursue a career as a global surgeon and researcher, focusing on sustainable, capacity-building interventions that improve access to high-quality care in underserved communities.
