Dr. Nicholas Bartschat is a general surgery resident at the University of Iowa. Originating from Urbandale, Iowa, he went to medical school at the Roy Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City before staying there to continue surgical training. Dr. Bartschat spent dedicated time in Dr. Weigel's basic science lab learning techniques on the frontier of cancer research before returning to clinical training, and continues on with multifaceted research evaluating clinical outcomes and operative approaches.
