Dr Rachel Colbran (BSc, MBBS [Hons I], MTrauma, FRACS) is a Visiting Instructor in Colorectal Surgery at Stanford University. She completed her general surgery training in Australia and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2025. Dr Colbran’s clinical and research interests focus on pelvic floor disorders, colorectal physiology, and patient-centered outcomes in pelvic health. She has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and her work has been presented internationally. At Stanford, she is involved in research exploring imaging, physiology, and patient experience in rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence.
