Oswaldo de Moraes Filho, MD, MSc, is a board-certified colorectal surgeon and Coordinator of the Colon Cancer Outpatient Clinic at the University Hospital of Brasília (Hospital Universitário de Brasília – UnB/EBSERH), Brazil, where he also serves as a faculty preceptor in the Colorectal Surgery Residency Program. He completed his medical degree at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, followed by residency training in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery at the University Hospital of Brasília. Dr. de Moraes Filho holds a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from the University of Brasília and is certified in Robotic Colorectal Surgery by the Brazilian Medical Association and the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology. He is an active member of the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology, the Brazilian Organization for Crohn’s and Colitis (GEDIIB), and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. His clinical and academic interests focus on advanced colorectal surgery, colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, complex oncologic procedures, and minimally invasive and robotic techniques.
