Madeline D'Aquila is a General Surgery resident at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. She is a member of the Surgery as a Social Science at Yale (SASSY) Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Ira Leeds. Her research interests focus on in the impact of sociobehavioral comorbidities on patient outcomes after major operations, especially in Veteran and colorectal populations. Outside of the hospital and research lab, she spends her time with her two dogs hiking throughout New England and enjoys home DIY projects.
