Dr. Kathryn Fowler MD MS is a general surgery resident and current research fellow at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She is interested in studying the biology of gastrointestinal diseases, particularly malignancy, in pursuit of a future as a surgical oncologist or colorectal surgeon. Dr. Fowler's presentation, "Phenotyping Circulating Hybrid Cells Across the Colorectal Cancer Continuum" will provide insight on a population of peripheral blood cells under study as a potential biomarker for colorectal cancer early detection.
