Lindsay Welton, MD, is a general surgery resident at the University of Minnesota, currently in her third dedicated research year. Originally from Menlo Park, California, Dr. Welton is pursuing a career in colorectal surgery with a particular focus on the geriatric population. Her clinical and research interests center on improving surgical outcomes and quality of life for older adults. In addition to her research with the University of Minnesota’s Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, she is earning a Master of Arts in Medical Gerontology from the University of Southern California.
