Anthony Lim, MD, is a general surgery resident at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles General Medical Center and is currently conducting a year of clinical research in the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2017, after which he worked as an emergency medical technician and EMT instructor. Dr. Lim received his medical doctorate from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine in 2022, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. His clinical and research interests include colorectal cancer, minimally invasive/endoscopic surgical techniques, IBD, anorectal disease, pelvic floor disorders, culturally sensitive patient-centered care, and medical education. He has an interest in global surgery and recently served on a rewarding surgical mission to Valladolid, Philippines. He also worked as a medical consultant for season 22 of the television series Grey’s Anatomy. Upon completion of his general surgery training, Dr. Lim hopes to pursue fellowship training in colorectal surgery.
