Dr. Yuen-Joyce Liu is currently a PGY-3 at the University of Connecticut General Surgery Residency Program. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Harvard University. Following graduation, she conducted research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where she studied the innate immune system with a focus on identifying potential therapeutic interventions for Crohn’s disease. She also worked as a head teaching assistant at Harvard University for graduate and undergraduate courses in the basic sciences. Later, she enrolled at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, graduating as a Doctor of Medicine. A dedicated researcher, Dr. Liu has co-authored several publications to date.
