Dr. Lee is an active duty general surgery resident in the United States Navy stationed at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and a research collaborator with the Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, California. He received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, and is currently completing his general surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Lee’s research background includes work in military trauma, surgical critical care, pediatric surgery, and surgical education. He has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications, co-authored surgical textbook chapters, and presented at national conferences. His academic interests include the application of minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of foregut and gastrointestinal disease, with a broader commitment to advancing care in both civilian and military settings.
