Abd-elrahman (Abdul) Said Hassan is a colon and rectal surgery fellow at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of California, Davis, where he also earned a Master of Advanced Study in Clinical Research. His clinical training focuses on the full breadth of colorectal surgery, with particular interests in minimally invasive techniques, transanal surgery, and patient-centered care.

His academic interests include clinically relevant outcomes research and patient-centered investigations, with a focus on improving quality of life for patients with colorectal disease. His work has been presented at national meetings, including the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and reflects his interest in bridging clinical care with meaningful research.
Outside of surgery, Dr. Hassan enjoys weightlifting, reading, housee renovation and crocheting a fun and rewarding creative outlet that provides balance to clinical life. He values maintaining a sense of curiosity and perspective both inside and outside of medicine.
Dr. Hassan plans to pursue a career in academic or community-based colorectal surgery, with a continued emphasis on education, collaboration, and delivering high-quality care.
