Shujia Xu, M.D., is a Resident Physician in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Shuguang Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She specializes in colorectal surgery and has gained substantial experience in the minimally invasive treatment of complex anal fistulas. Under the mentorship of Professor Qingming Wang, a distinguished anorectal expert at the same institution, Dr. Xu not only delves into the advancement of minimally invasive surgical techniques for complex anal fistula but also dedicates herself to integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) into the perioperative management of fistula patients, aiming to enhance their postoperative recovery and quality of life. Currently, she actively engages in clinical research and academic exchanges within the field of colorectal surgery, with the goal of promoting the development of more minimally invasive and individualized approaches in the surgical management of anal fistula.
