Molly Kobritz MD is a fourth year general surgery resident at Northwell Health-North Shore/LIJ in Long Island, New York. She received a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University in 2015, then a Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College in 2019. After her second year of surgical training she completed a two year research fellowship in Dr. Ping Wang's lab at the Feinstein Institutes of Medical Research, during which she studied the role of the STING pathway in intestinal injury and inflammation, and received regional and national awards for this work. She also has clinical and academic interests in surgical education, and systems-based practices in delivery of quality surgical care, and has published manuscripts on multiple topics within these spaces. She plans to apply to Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship this summer to continue her training after residency.
