Sophia Zigouras, DO, MS, RD is a colorectal surgery fellow at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson University in New Jersey. She completed general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and is a Registered Dietitian with three years of dedicated clinical practice in nutrition support prior to attending medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. She has a special interest in the nutrition optimization of the colorectal surgical patient, surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease, and advocacy and education regarding early onset colorectal cancer.
