Hoyeon Kwon, MD, is a surgical resident in the Department of Surgery at Kyungpook National University Hospital, Daegu, Republic of Korea. His clinical and research interests focus on rectal cancer, neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, and oncologic outcomes following total mesorectal excision. His current research examines prognostic factors in patients achieving pathologic complete response (pCR), particularly the impact of regional lymph node status and the role of adjuvant chemotherapy. He is actively involved in studies aimed at refining risk stratification and optimizing postoperative treatment strategies in rectal cancer.
