Dr. Michael Plietz is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon, at Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Surgery. He is interested in all aspects of colorectal surgery, with a particular focus on minimally invasive surgery, inflammatory bowel disease, and complex cases. Dr. Plietz received his medical degree from the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his residency in general surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He then completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.
