Dr. Marianne Cusick completed her undergraduate degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology and completed medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine. She then completed residency training at University of Alabama- Birmingham and obtained a Master's in Public Health during her training. She finished surgical training at University of Texas- Health Science Center in Houston for colorectal residency and joined the faculty in Houston.

She is the Associate Program Director for the Colon & Rectal Surgery Residency program and the Director of the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at UT Health Houston.
