My name is Sourav Podder, MD PGY4, and I am a General Surgery resident at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During my dedicated research time, I served as the Quality and Safety Fellow in the Department of Surgery, where I worked on a variety of projects, including analyses of opioid prescribing trends following implementation of a stewardship program, development of protocols for safe Dobhoff tube placement, and outcomes research related to patients undergoing colectomy. I am also currently completing a Master of Science in Health Economics and Outcomes Research, which I expect to finish this summer.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
