Dimitris (Demis) Varvoglis, MD is a General Surgery resident at the University of Colorado and an international medical graduate from Greece. He previously served as a research fellow in the Department of Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where his work focused on disparities in colorectal cancer care and translational research.

Dr. Varvoglis aspires to a career as an academic colorectal surgeon with a focus on hereditary gastrointestinal cancer syndromes, locally advanced rectal cancer, and early-age-onset colorectal cancer, with a parallel interest in outcomes research and surgical education.
