Bard Cosman,MD, MPH is Professor of Clinical Surgery at University of California San Diego, and in his 31st year on staff at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical Center, where he has helped educate a generation of residents. He is a long-time member of the DC&R Editorial Board and the 2013 winner of the Victor Fazio Award for Editorial Excellence. He currently has a specialty practice in surgical treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa / acne inversa. He and Pamela have 4 boys, all computer science majors. He enjoys, biking, hiking, and trail running, and he occasionally gets inspired to run a trail ultramarathon.
