Fatma Monib, MBBCh, is a Visiting Research Fellow in the Department of Colorectal Surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester, where she contributes to outcomes‑driven research in colorectal diseases. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh) in Egypt, completing her clinical training with a strong interest in colorectal oncology and minimally invasive techniques.
Her current research includes projects on anogenital squamous cell carcinoma, diverticulitis, and pelvic dumbbell tumors. Her work spans IRB protocol development, REDCap database design, EPIC chart abstraction, data curation, and manuscript preparation.
Dr. Monib is presenting her research at the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) Annual Scientific Meeting. She remains committed to advancing evidence‑based colorectal surgery and mentoring international medical graduates pursuing careers in general and colorectal surgery.
