Dr. Sacks received her medical degree at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and completed general surgery residency at Boston University School of Medicine/Boston Medical Center. During residency, she received an institutional grant to train ICU residents in serious illness conversations and an American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) grant to develop a multimedia, smartphone-based education program to improve patient preparedness for colonoscopy. She is currently a Colon & Rectal Surgery Fellow at Lahey Clinic and is excited to join the faculty at Vanderbilt University Medical Center next year.
