Julia Nugent, MD is the current fellow in Colon & Rectal Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is from North Carolina and completed medical school at UNC Chapel Hill, and general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. Her interests are in rectal cancer treatment including functional outcomes after TNT and surgery, quality improvement and systems-based practices at the hospital level, and teaching in both didactics and at the bedside with a strong passion for one-on-one mentorship.
