Saba Balvardi, MD

Saba Balvardi, MD, MSc, FRCSC, is a colorectal surgeon and Assistant Professor at Western University. She completed her medical training and general surgery residency at McGill University, where she also earned a Master of Science in Epidemiology. During residency, she received multiple national and international merit-based research grants, with a focus on surgical outcomes and surgical education. She went on to complete fellowship training in colorectal surgery at AdventHealth Orlando. Her clinical and academic interests include robotic approaches for rectal cancer and complex colorectal disorders, as well as outcomes research and surgical innovation.
