Dr. Marie Audett is the Associate Medical Director of the colorectal surgery department at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center. She was born in East Greenwich, Rhode Island and is a graduate of Brown University and Warren Alpert Medical School. She completed her residency in general surgery at the University of CIncinnati in 2014, and then served in the United States Air Force as a general surgeon for four years prior to heading back to the east coast. She then pursued a colorectal surgery fellowship through Rutgers in New Jersey and was thrilled to stay on with her mentors for several years before moving to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. There, she is active in the surgical site infection committee, serves on the block committee, the comission on cancer committee, and is the director of the NAPRC program at MaineHealth. She has won numerous teaching awards from both the residents and medical students.
In her free time, she enjoys running, anything involving nature, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
