This presentation reviews current ASCRS recommendations on prehabilitation in colorectal surgery, with a focus on how frailty identification informs targeted, multimodal preoperative optimization. The talk highlights where the evidence stands today, how frailty screening and prehabilitation can be integrated into routine practice, and what is needed next to advance implementation, scalability, and patient-centered outcomes in colorectal surgery.
