Ketan K Thanki, MD FACS is a dual-board-certified Colorectal and General Surgeon at MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute in Long Beach, California. He previously served as faculty colorectal surgeon for the Valley Health System General Surgery Residency in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Thanki completed his surgical training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and colorectal surgery fellowship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Medical Center. In addition, he completed a T32 research fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he also obtained a Masters of Medical Science degree.

Dr. Thanki specializes in the treatment of colorectal and anal cancers with a focus on robotic and transanal minimally invasive approaches to colorectal surgery. He has a special interest in improving access to care for underserved and LGBTQ+ populations and continues to maintain clinical ties with the Las Vegas Valley and beyond in rural Nevada. He is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, the Association for Out Surgeons and Allies and the American College of Surgeons.
