Dr. Cima attended Stanford University School of Medicine and undertook general surgery residency at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. After completing his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, he joined the Mayo Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery in 2003. He is a Consultant in Colon and Rectal Surgery and Professor of Surgery. His primary clinical interest is in care of IBD patients and management of complex abdominal wall issues such as enterocutaneous fistulas, stoma complications and parastomal hernias.
