My name is Dioselina Lanzagorta-Ortega. I graduated with honors from the Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine and completed advanced postgraduate studies. I am currently a General Surgery resident at the American British Cowdray Medical Center, where I maintain a strong academic focus and a dedicated interest in Colorectal Surgery.
My clinical and research interests include benign and malignant colorectal disease, minimally invasive colorectal surgery, intestinal endometriosis, colorectal cancer diagnostics, diverticular disease, and postoperative anastomotic outcomes. I am actively involved in clinical research, including a diagnostic accuracy study evaluating pelvic MRI for colorectal endometriosis, as well as projects focused on surgical complications, imaging evaluation, and operative strategies in complex colorectal pathology.
I am committed to integrating evidence-based surgical practice with rigorous clinical research to advance the quality of colorectal care. My long-term goal is to pursue a dedicated Colorectal Surgery fellowship abroad and to contribute to academic surgery through research, education, and international collaboration.
