Richard Slay is a fourth-year general surgery resident at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He obtained his BS in Biological Sciences at Clemson University and subsequently attended MUSC for medical school. Going into the next academic year, he will serve as an Administrative Chief for his residency program. His clinical interests include colon and rectal cancer with an emphasis in teaching and innovation. He plans to apply for Colorectal Surgery Fellowship in the coming academic year.
