Roni Y. Rosen, MD, is a PGY-4 General Surgery resident at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey and an aspiring colorectal surgeon. She completed a dedicated two-year research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she focused on surgical quality and outcomes research. Her work has centered on nonoperative management strategies for rectal cancer and quality improvement initiatives, including the implementation of goals-of-care discussions in the preoperative setting. Dr. Rosen has presented her research at numerous national conferences, where she received an award recognizing her work. She remains actively engaged in research during residency while continuing to refine her operative skills and broaden her clinical acumen.
