My name is Christina Mao and I am currently a general surgery resident at Valley Health System in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am an aspiring colorectal surgeon. I was inspired by my mentor Dr. Ketan Thanki, who showed how compassionate the continuity of care in colorectal surgery can be, beginning from the screening colonoscopy to the postoperative followup.
