Dr. Slawomir Marecik earned his medical degree at Collegium Medicum of Jagiellonski University in Krakow, Poland, and completed his general surgery training at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals Residency in Chicago in 2005. In 2006, he completed his colorectal surgery training at the University of Illinois / Cook County Colon and Rectal Surgery Residency Training Program. In 2007, he completed his training in robotic colorectal surgery at the University of Illinois and Lutheran General Hospital. He is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He is Chief of Colorectal Surgery and Program Director of the Minimally Invasive and Robotic Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
