My name is Adam Fahey, and I am a current fourth-year medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. I am applying into general surgery, with an interest in colorectal surgery. My research interests are currently in diverticulitis, with two projects to be presented at ASCRS. The first project identifieds barriers and facilitators for the de-implementation of antibiotics for acute uncomplicated diverticulitis. The second project is a survey-based study that achieved consensus on standardized diverticular disease definitions from global experts.
