Sakura Horiuchi, MD is a PGY-3 General Surgery resident at Creighton University School of Medicine – Phoenix Regional Campus. She received her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Her academic and clinical interests are focused on colorectal surgery, particularly colorectal cancer, surgical oncology, and the management of complex benign and malignant colorectal disease.
Dr. Horiuchi’s research interests include colorectal malignancies, surgical outcomes, and clinical decision-making in colon and rectal surgery. She plans to pursue fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery and is particularly interested in advancing evidence-based surgical care and improving oncologic outcomes through clinical research and multidisciplinary collaboration.
