Kate Barrows, MD is a general surgery resident physician at INOVA Fairfax in Northern Virginia and recently completed a two year Surgical Oncology Research Fellowship at the National Cancer Institute. She researched the tumor microenvironment of the liver in Dr. Natalie Porat-Shliom’s Laboratory.
She obtained her both Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as her Medical Doctorate from the University of Utah. While in medical school she received a certification in Global Health. She has a strong interest in colorectal surgery, global health and advocacy.
