Jorge Luis De León Rendón, MD, is a colorectal surgeon and Head and Founder of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic at the Hospital General de México Dr. Eduardo Liceaga in Mexico City, and a faculty member at Universidad Anáhuac México School of Medicine. He leads a surgical-driven, interdisciplinary IBD program accredited as a Center of Excellence by PANCCO, focused on comprehensive patient-centered care, research, and education. His work centers on inflammatory bowel disease, with emphasis on real-world evidence, diagnostic delay, value-based care, and optimization of advanced medical and surgical therapies. He currently serves as President of the Mexican Group for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (GAICCUM) and is a member of the Strategic Committee of PANCCO. Dr. De León is also a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons Inflammatory Bowel Disease Committee and actively contributes to international academic collaborations, including initiatives aligned with ECCO.
