Kera Kwan is a fourth-year general surgery resident and second-year research fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program at UCLA. Her research focuses on addressing surgical disparities through mixed-methods approaches, with an emphasis on identifying modifiable factors to reduce racial disparities in rectal cancer treatment and outcomes. Additionally, she is investigating barriers to implementing non-operative approaches for patients with rectal cancer.
