Amarvir Bilkhu

I am a UK-trained colorectal surgeon with specialist training in complex colorectal oncology, advanced rectal cancer and IBD Surgery. In parallel with my surgical training, I was successful in achieving a role as a Fellow to the Future Leaders Programme (2020), a prestigious fellowship with Health Education England designed to develop clinical leaders driving improvement across health systems. My training and fellowships have taken me through institutions in the UK and North America, with a strong foundation in both clinical excellence and interest in systems leadership.

I am passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and advancing multidisciplinary management in complex colorectal disease and in 2025, I joined The Ottawa Colorectal Group at The Ottawa Hospital as a Colorectal Surgeon, contributing to both clinical care and ongoing innovation in colorectal surgery.
