As a fourth-year medical student at West China School of Medicine, my academic focus is intensely centered on clinical medicine, with a specialized direction in the surgical management of colorectal cancer, particularly rectal carcinoma. My studies and clinical rotations have provided me with a solid foundation in oncology, anatomy, and surgical principles. I am deeply fascinated by the complexities of rectal cancer surgery, including sphincter-preserving techniques and minimally invasive approaches like laparoscopy and robotics. I am eager to contribute to this field by learning from leading surgeons and engaging in research aimed at improving surgical outcomes and patients' quality of life. My goal is to become a skilled and compassionate surgical oncologist.
